Pediatric Health

Dr. Mayer joined the practice in 1995 and is one of six Physician-International Board Certified Lactation Consultants in New Jersey. She educates and consults parents who are having trouble with breastfeeding. She also has a website on breastfeeding, which includes information for both mothers and professionals, called Breastfeeding Headquarters. Dr. Mayer graduated Cum Laude from Loyola University of Chicago in 1982 and received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School in 1988. She is currently serving as the Chairman of the Pediatric Department at CentraState Medical Center and served as Vice Chair 2008- 2010. She is also on staff at Jersey Shore Medical Center. She has two children and is currently writing a book on lactation. She enjoys spending time with her sons and traveling.
