The Washington State Lactation Collaborative (WLC) is a statewide network of hundreds of individuals, local community coalitions, and partner organizations. We champion evidence-based support, advocate for equitable access to human milk, and partner with communities to create opportunities for all Washington families.

We work to increase initiation, duration and exclusivity rates of breastfeeding/chestfeeding through promotion projects, education and resource sharing with the larger aim of establishing human milk feeding as the cultural norm in Washington. Our vision is that every community in Washington State has equitable environments that support the use of human milk and lactation for lifelong health and wellness.
